Oh my Goodness! My last post was back in April. I can do better than this, especially if this is the job I am passionated about to doing.
Not much has changed in my life. We got a new cat, Illidan. Zoe is now eleven. Alexandria and Athena are about to have their shared birthday on Friday. I am now going to have an 11, 9 and 5 year old. When did I get old?
I set lofty goals for this year and I never met them. With some deep reflection, I have to accept it. Time to move on and make more realistic goals, one at a time. I found an amazing life planner that I’m trying out. Today, October 8th, 2016, is my third day. So far, I’m sticking to it, and I hope to keep going strong.
My first goal is to stay off of social media. Yes, this is being posted via social media. But I can be a part of my business page without looking at my personal page. When I was going through my daily goals, I was scheduling social media time. As much as I want to keep up with everyone’s lives, there are better ways to spend my time, plus I’m tired of politics, and I need more positivity in my life. Looking at everyone lives, is not what I need right now. So now my time over my morning coffee will be gaining more knowledge, whether it’s reading a new book, a podcast about the civil war, or reading over what I wrote the day before.
These first few days have seen a lot of change already. I’ve finished another photoshop class already, caught up on more podcasts, and written around 20 pages in my outline. I love connecting with people, but there are better ways than scrolling through a newsfeed, seeing more things you don’t care about, than the things you care about.
